Our school is a small K-8 school in the heart of the central valley of California. We are surrounded by dairies and farms just outside of our little town!
Being a small school brings such a unique experience to our students as we have a family atmosphere!
We are able to bring older students together with younger students ways most schools are unable to do. It really works to bring about a community of learners rather just a bunch of people attending the same place.
My Project
My students are currently working on improving their reading and writing skills. A major focus in our reading is in fluency. Students have been given the task to practice a book of their choice and prepare to record this book for a listening center for their classmates.
The tools I am asking for will help my students create meaningful recordings of their reading and writing projects.
Students will use the microphones to plug into the class iPads and record themselves reading. This will allow the students to block out the background noise often found in the classroom. (Plus, it's just more fun to speak into a microphone which makes the project more fun for the kids!)
The tripod and iPad case are two different options I want to try to add to our green screen activities. Students are able to record a book review with the setting of the book displayed on the green screen. We currently struggle with recording options and I hope to see which works best to helps us record our reviews.
