My students need good, dependable pencils to write essays and do daily work.
This project expired on September 10, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
These amazing children are from many different backgrounds. I have taught in the area for many years. The kids go through their pencils like they are candy. This is partly because the cheapest kind are not durable and that’s what they buy at back to school week. One time to the pencil sharpener and they go down to a nub. Nothing left but that nub and the eraser. Now, that eraser has a film over it. We have found a way to remove the wax by running the eraser across the carpet. If we are lucky it doesn’t pop off. What to do?
Enter the amazing Ticonderoga pencil.
It glides across the paper with ease. It sharpens first turn. The eraser is like the old days. It works! I can read the writing because it’s dark enough.
But Parents walk past them in the stores because they cost 3 times more.
4th grade begins the first time they have to compete long text based essays. They need to have pencils that work. Ticonderoga makes the best pencil I have found in my 25 years of teaching kids to write.
With Ticonderoga pencils students will be well prepared to perform the rigorous writing that 4th grade requires. The pencils will keep them on their projects rather than up and down sharpening the ones that the graphite continually breaks or simply falls out of.
Ticonderoga pencils makes writing easy to read.
The eraser on top make it possible to have zero smudges, so they can edit their essays with out trying to remember what it was they wanted to say. The frustration level will go down. If every child has one, the playing field is the same. No excuse for messy work. Quality work with quality pencils will make it possible for all students to present an essay that is legible.
