My Project

The thing I love most about my students is that no matter what obstacles or challenges they face, they are resilient. The only thing that holds them back from the next level of musicianship is better-quality instruments. Many of the musical instruments we have are either 30+ years old or are considered "beginner" instruments. Beginner Student Model instruments are designed to be easier to make sounds, so that new students can have success quickly, but are not designed to enhance the musicians' growth at intermediate and advanced levels. This creates a "glass ceiling" and makes it very difficult for students attempting to send in recordings for State and Local Honor Band Festivals, attend scholarship auditions, as well as perform live; to have the best quality sound because of the limitations of the current instruments we have available.
