I teach a wonderful group of preschoolers! Eight of my students have special needs and ten of my students are general education students. Every one of my students is unique and able to learn!
Some students enter VPK already knowing their colors or shapes.
However, quite often I get students that can’t remove a lid from a marker, or who can’t draw a circle. Because of this, it is essential that I equip my classroom with the materials that will help my students succeed! In fact, without proper materials to engage students in learning, many students will begin their education with a disadvantage. I can’t let this happen. I am working to ensure that each of my students has quality manipulatives and learning tools to prepare them for their future successes!
All of my students deserve the best in learning! And, I am going to do my best to provide that!
My Project
My handicap Blended VPK class is new to my school. The materials that were in my classroom were left over and picked through. My goal is to replace items with essentials that will progress my students’ learning. The whiteboard will transform my classroom and engage my students in hands-on interactive learning, that will allow my preschoolers to write and respond at their level. The attached storage area will allow interactive tools to be at my students’ reach. The math learning tools will excite and educate while teaching number concepts. The literacy items will allow my students to experience letters and sounds. The social skills books, posters, and character puppets will surely provide positive input to help form good character in my early learners. These materials as a whole will bring quality tools for learning into the hands of our future!
