SSES is a Title I school in Antioch, TN that will be serving almost 800 students next year. Our zip code is one of the fastest growing in Tennessee and our school is gaining almost 200 new students next year. One of our largest growing populations is English Learners and almost 1/3 of our students speak multiple languages at home!
Our students come from very diverse backgrounds, speak multiple languages, and have the biggest hearts for Smith Springs!
My Project
Our school is a growing and diverse school! Our teachers and students need a poster maker so that information can be more easily accessed for both students and parents. As our school grows and gets bigger, we want to make sure that we have easily accessible information for all students and families. A poster maker would allow us to create both faculty and student produced resources that will welcome all students and families to our school.
A poster maker will help teachers create resources that students and families more easily understand the content.
Posters can be made using multiple languages and visuals on posters will also help support language learning. Posters made at SSES will contain academic content, school information for parents, and social-emotional norms in multiple languages that are more easily accessible and comprehensible for our students and families.
