My Students

Do you remember your favorite teacher ever? Was that teacher always pushing you to do your best but also letting you know that you are loved and cared for? This is the kind of teacher I want to be for my students, but, in order for this to happen, I need your help.

The school I teach at is a very impoverished school.

My students come from difficult home lives where they don't know if they will eat when they go home or where they will sleep.

My school has over 85% of its students receiving free or reduced price lunch. My students are smart and sweet but need more of a push when it comes to academics. My students can't afford to buy technology and sometimes school is the only time students may have the opportunity to use technology.

My Project

I am asking for a throwable, yes, throwable microphone. This microphone goes by the name of Qball. The Qball is a soft and squishy material ball that allows students' voices to be heard from all areas of the classroom. This will help classroom instruction and help foster a sense of leadership.

The next leader of our nation could be in my classroom and with the help of the Qball they can be learning the basic skills they need to be the next great president.

The Qball will allow for more student engagement in lessons and students will learn powerful public speaking skills when they learn how their voices can make an impact. This unique tool could be so powerful in my 4th grade classroom and I would love the opportunity to embrace this experience with my students.
