This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My third grade class is made up of 29 kids. We have a mix of abilities ranging from a kindergarten level through a third-grade level including a quarter of my class being special education and/or autistic. We have one thing in common; we love literacy and math centers. My school is Title I, and all of my students get free breakfast and lunch daily.
Having puzzles to learn how to work together would help us learn team work and how to listen and speak to one another.
My Project
These puzzles would make a huge difference in our classroom. I am looking to add them as an end of the day activity. My goal is to always get as much learning and teaching done each day. We have about 25 minutes of unstructured time as kids leave for daycare and clubs. Having these puzzles to work on getting along, communicating, and building team work is exactly what we need.
I chose the set with the bundle as I have 29 kids.
If we pair into teams of 2-3, this will give all students a chance to work on a puzzle at the end of the day.
