My students need math logic puzzles, dry erase markers, and a presentation podium for the start of the school year.

The ah-ha moment is that wonderful moment when something finally clicks for a student. My students might be able to experience more of these ah-ha's if they had tools that allowed them to expand their mind and think it ways that traditional teaching methods do not always allow.
I work with amazing young adults at a public high school in Illinois.
My students are wonderful people, and have big dreams for their future. They enjoy being challenged, and I would like to provide them with more opportunities for that to happen. In this high school, students are open to new ways to expand their mind. The materials I am asking for will force my students to think visually and spacially and help develop their minds in different ways.
I believe teaching is about helping students develop the curiosity to want to dive deeper into the meaning of different concepts. The materials I would like to get for my students will allow them to do just that. These games and puzzles will let them be curious students who are willing to be persistent enough to find the answer and solve the puzzle. With these new materials, I will be able to allow students more brain breaks in daily lessons and activities. With the markers I will be able to utilize dry erase boards and more efficiently assess where my students stand after a lesson or activity. The teaching podium will be beneficial to me, the teacher, as well as the students. It will allow me to be more effective with students participation and engagement, and it will allow the students to be more effective when giving presentations in the class.
My students just want to know that people care about them.
I have gone out of my budget to provide these students with materials to better their educational experience. Donating to this project will show these students what it means to do good things, even for people you do not even know. Please help me teach my students not only math, but the value of doing good for others.
