My Students
Our school is located in a rural area where students often face many challenges outside of the classroom along with those they face every day at school. Yet, it's amazing how resilient they are when faced with challenges at school and at home. I'm inspired every day when I see the effort they put into their schoolwork. For many of my students, the classroom is their safe place to be. With all of the challenges my students overcome, they enjoy coming to school everyday and learning. They truly inspire me to keep working to provide them with the best learning experience!
My Project
My students love playing games and completing puzzles! Having taught 2nd grade, I don't have many 5th grade learning materials outside of our curriculum. My students need to learn all about the United States and several of the games & puzzles I've requested will provide them with more resources to learn about our great country.
Our current Social Studies curriculum was adopted in 1998.
We don't have any extra resources to go with the curriculum anymore. I look forward to incorporating some of the games and puzzles to supplement our outdated curriculum. My students love to learn about their Country and having brand new materials to do so will provide them with exciting new learning opportunities.
