Have you ever watched the pride in a child's eyes as they complete a puzzle? Have you seen the excitement as they find a piece that fits? Children love puzzles and they can learn so much while building puzzles.
I teach 23 amazing and creative first graders in my classroom.
Our school is in an urban setting. We have a very diverse population, from family to racial diversity to economic diversity. We are an inclusive school, which means that every classroom has children with special needs. We teach acceptance and a peaceful approach to being together.
My Project
I am requesting a variety of puzzles. I am asking for a puzzle that teaches children how to make change from money. I am also asking for a set of building words phonics puzzles where children build four letter words by sounding out the letters. There is also a set of learning sight words and phrasing puzzles where the children are asked to match a sight word with the letters to build a sight word. I have also included a set of 12 fun floor puzzles. For example, there is a Sea Puzzle, as well as Zoo Animals, Solar System, and Bugs puzzle.
