Do you remember how you felt waiting for the first game of the season and all the preparation that took place to get ready for it? My female athletes share that excitement of waiting for and then finally getting to compete on their respective court and/or field. These girls have the desire to become not just better athletes but better people across the board!
Many of our students are using athletics, in addition to their academic achievements, to get offered a scholarship so that they may build a better future for themselves.
More than half of our students at THS are from low-income households. With that being said, many of our student-athletes have jobs in order to help support themselves and alleviate the pressure put on their parents. They know what hard work is and they are not afraid of it. They thrive in situations others would have a very hard time facing. We really do have great kids that want to better themselves in every way and I am so proud of them! Go Bobcats!
My Project
Donations to this project will make a huge difference for our team. When our girls get to our program most of them have never had any formal training or instruction for their hitting. These balls and training tools will help us turn their raw talent into something really special. Our girls are from low-income households and their parents can't afford to spend the thousands of dollars a year that most hitting coaches are charging nowadays.
These items will be a GAMECHANGER for our program!!
Our girls are already talented and with a few minor tweaks and then being able to continue to maintain and refresh when needed will really take their game to the next level. Please consider donating to our program and helping out our girls. They will appreciate it more than you know!
