In my classroom I try to provide as many opportunities as I can to expand our walls beyond our school, town, state and country.
My students are hungry for new supplies and opportunities to learn about the world around them.
They do not get these opportunities outside of our classroom. It is vital that I make these supplies a reality for my classroom. We are in a low poverty school and my students have many struggles outside the classroom. They do not let these challenges stop them and I want to give them every opportunity to succeed.
My Project
My class would love to include Art in our curriculum in addition to Science, Engineering, Math and Technology. We will use the art supplies to complete our STEAM bins. These supplies will help my students create beautiful art. The paints will help them discover meaningful ways to express themselves and connect with others. With different paints to experiment with, we will study art styles and famous artists, but we will also introduce new career paths that they might not have been aware of.
With your help we will become young artists in the classroom.
I will be able to introduce my student to new art forms and techniques by using the tempera mini cake and Prang washable watercolors.
I am so excited for the opportunity to allow my students to create with STEAM and the paint supplies will help us complete our STEAM station in the classroom.
