Putting Our Ideas in Print

Help me give my students a printer and ink to print differntiated learning materials and student-created projects.

My Students

Our elementary school is a diverse school in an urban community that serves students from many backgrounds. Each child brings with them unique strengths and needs. They are inquisitive and enthusiastic, and come to school ready to learn every day!

My students are avid learners and love to explore, research, and read about the world around them.

Despite the challenges my students face in our underfunded district, they strive to make the most of their learning experiences. Unfortunately, we do not always have access to the very basic materials to help students succeed.

My Project

Our school currently has two printers for our entire building of over 700 students, which makes it difficult to print student work and make necessary copies of materials.

Having a printer in our classroom would provide us with endless educational possibilities.

We place a strong emphasis on writing in Writing Workshop, and having a printer would help allow students to type and print their published pieces. Feeling like an author is incredibly motivating to young learners, and I believe having a printer will improve writing quality. Differentiated materials will be easier to print for students, including word study materials, math task cards, and small group reading passages.

Access to this basic technology will enhance student learning. Thank you for supporting our students!
