This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a public school district located in Milwaukee. All my students come from low income homes and receive free lunch. My twenty energetic preschoolers are creative, curious, and warm-hearted.
In our classroom, we have created a family community.
We work share, and most importantly we learn together.
I love to see my students learn new things. Their faces light up and they get so excited! To know that I am apart of their learning is an amazing feeling.
My Project
Over the last couple years I have been rebuilding my classroom library. I have the couch, carpet, pillows, stuffed animals, great books, and a canopy with stars over our couch. It is a very cozy library corner. My students love to read and snuggle up in our library corner.
The last thing we need to complete our new library is new shelf's with tubs.
These new shelf's and tubs will allow me to organize our books. The shelving unit has a spot for our CD player so my students can also listen to books on CD's as well as spaces for our regular books. These shelf's will put the finishing touches on our library!
