My students are ages 3 and 4 in preschool for the first time. Each class has 80% of students speaking a language other than English in their home. This diversity makes our classroom very special. The children can learn from each other. It becomes clear as people observe my students that children this age are similar in their development of basic skills.
I want all of my young learners to feel welcome to explore, create, and discover new skills together.
As a teacher of young students, I work hard to set up our classroom for learning. The environment needs to foster learning through play. With this first experience of going to school, my biggest task is to have my students love learning.
My preschool students are eager learners and enjoy getting information about new subjects. This includes when we learn about the Creative Curriculum study on balls.
This Spider Golf set will help my students get more familiar with the sport of golf.
It will increase their hand eye coordination and strengthen their large motor skills. Learning about golf will also help the preschool children in my class to learn about taking turns, counting strokes, focus and problem solving. Using the spider balls will help them feel more successful in their journey of learning about golf.
When we learn about balls in our classroom we learn about sports that use balls. I think that this introduction to golf will make that study more meaningful.
