My students need a classroom library since our school does not have a school library. These students sometimes have to walk to the local library to checkout books and a classroom library will help them read.
I work with some of the best and brightest kids Arkansas has to offer. These scholars want to succeed and they are driven. They are intelligent, hard-working, witty, and resourceful.
There are just some resources that are lacking and those resources are so important for their success this school year and in their futures.
Our students, however, reside in one of the lower socioeconomic areas of central Arkansas and tend to have financial difficulty when it comes to things such as food, clothing, and supplies.
That's where DonorsChoose.org comes in.
Books are so vital for success in the educational world.
Many of our students have to walk to the nearest public library to check out books. I teach Pre-AP 9th grade English and the scholars will have book reports and many reading assignments. We do not have a library in our school and they need to have books at their fingertips to be able to grow their reading skills and much more. I would like to ask for help from you to support our classroom library.
My Project
I would like to offer my scholars a classroom library since our school does not have a library. With a classroom library, they will be able to complete book reports and essays. This will prepare them for their future.
I have looked at books that will suit their age group and most of the books are books that will interest them, so they will want to read even more.
With these books at their fingertips, they will be equipped for their essays and they will become more proficient in reading. Please help the scholars and future leaders of Arkansas by preparing these scholars for their futures.
