My students need technology help! We want to teach them how to use the iPad to program the Dash Bot (Robotics). Our children need interactive materials to learn to use the computers, tablets, and technology!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are at a Title I school in Georgia where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students receive free dinner and snack because we are never sure if they go home and eat! Despite so many hardships, we are dedicated to making sure our students explore and learn.
Our children need exposure, and only about 5% have a computer at home.
We have a program to expose them to computer science, but we need help! They love learning about technology but have such limited exposure to this. We work daily with them to make sure they receive English and Math help. But it's so important they learn about computers!
My Project
Our children are very active and need help to focus. They love technology but rarely get enough access to practice technology. 95% of our children do not have a computer or iPad at home.
We want to teach them Robotics, computer science, and the benefits of technology!
They love it, and it helps them connect the dots between science, math, and the real world. It motivates them and helps them critically think. We are trying to teach them science in many creative ways.
Help us create an exciting learning adventure for children who desperately need the exposure through robotics and computer science with this iPad and Dash and Dot robots!
