The students in my class are bursting with laughter, love, and the eagerness to learn new skills. My students communicate, learn, and love in very unique ways. Many of my students are considered nonverbal while a few are very verbal. My classroom is a exceptional children self contained Autism classroom.
Communication is a HUGE factor in our classroom.
We strive to allow the students to show us what they know. When speaking, writing, and eye contact are limited, it is difficult to get the information needed to exceed.
My Project
I have an awesome classroom with 5 students. My students are hard workers and try their best! Many times they need one on one assistance to obtain new skills. Our curriculum has online components for practice of mastered skills. A class Chromebook would allow them to practice these skills while we offer one on one support to another student.
Why a chrome book vs an iPad?
A chrome book will allow them to learn skills such as typing, using a touch pad, and using other operating systems. Please helps up reach our goal and get some technology in their hands!!
