My Students

Do you know what it is like to try and hammer a nail with a spoon or cut a piece of wood with a butter knife. That is what it is like when my special education students do not have the tools they need to learn. My special education class picked this project and selected the tools they wanted.

My special education students do not have special needs.

They have the needs that everyone else has. Most of our population of students are fortunate to have ipads or ipods from home. My students do not. Putting this technology in my students hands allows them to keep caught up with the applications that it offers.

My Project

I will use these tablets when purchased to rotate between the students in their math classes. When the instruction becomes too rigorous the student can use the math applications on the tablets to build on what they know making it more designed to their instruction needs at the same time keeping them in the general education environment to keep from losing valuable social skills. These tablets will help keep them positive while learning.
