My students need a variety of items to use while writing including lined paper, decorative paper, stickers, and pens.

My Students

We have such a diverse group of kids at my school: kids from all different backgrounds and from different socioeconomic levels. We have gifted kids and kids with special needs.

I work directly with students who struggle with reading and math and who need some extra help to get caught up.

Many of my students are English Language Learners. They all have something in common. They all love to learn. They also love reading new books and experiencing new things.

My Project

When I have my students write, I love giving them fun options! For example, if we write sentences about a dog, I love giving them a dog sticker to start their illustration. It is also fun for them to be able to practice writing their sight words and word families in different colors.

Using a variety of writing materials can help bring fun to writing!

I have packed this proposal full of fun things for writing. The stickers will be used for illustrations and sticker stories. The decorative paper will be used for writing responses and letters. The lined paper will help students who struggle with handwriting line up their letters. All the colorful pens will motivate them to spend more time writing.
