Put a Mouse in Each Student's Hand

Help me give my students a classroom set of computer mice to put all of them on a more even playing field.

My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds. My students come from varying social economic families. Some come from rural areas and many live in various small towns. Some students walk to school and some ride the bus for 40 minutes. As Covid has hit, all student have turned to Chromebooks to gather information and complete assignments. We have various tests that the students must take. Using the computer mouse pad to navigate some of the tools used for the tests, has proven difficult for many.

My Project

As students navigate through the various lessons and tests, some struggle to click on the correct tool or answer. Some are required to do multiple tasks with the mouse pad on the Chromebook and the lack the dexterity to move and click, or the must move a given amount to a beaker.

A mouse for each student will help make my students be on a more equal playing field.

It will not matter as much, if the student who is not as adept at manipulating and moving objects on the mouse pad can use the mouse to move, pull, choose the different options.
