Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a Title I school, which means the vast majority of students live at or below the poverty level. Despite these challenges, our students are still hardworking and eager to learn. Unfortunately, having the designation of a Title I school means that our students often do not have the materials they need to succeed in school.
These students come from very difficult backgrounds and circumstances.
Despite these challenges, our students still deserve to have the basic essentials they need to thrive in their education, and in life.
My Project
Not all air pumps are created equal! The air pump we currently have is small and cannot handle filling up anything larger than a beach ball. Anything more than that is a fruitless and frustrating task.
This new air pump will allow us to fill our oversized cage balls and kin balls in no time flat.
We will no longer have to waste hours of time before school with an inadequate pump just so our students can learn and have fun in PE! Our time is better spent with our students than filling up our necessary equipment for the daily lessons.
