Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students have been nationally recognized for their performance excellence. They have performed in the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, Illinois, the New Year’s Day Parade in Paris, France, the Hollywood Christmas Parade, the Hawaii Music Festival in Honolulu, Hawaii, and most recently in 2019 at Carnegie Hall in New York. Our Marching Band performs at all football games, parades, contests, and various performance opportunities in the area.
All students have the opportunity to participate in music and dance in some capacity on our campus.
We are a Title I school that supports the arts and experiences to last a lifetime for our students and always look to further our growth and excellence in any way possible.
Our concert programs have also achieved excellence with the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, String Orchestra, and Jazz ensemble achieving numerous superior ratings at festival. We also introduced Mariachi on our campus to provide a further opportunity for our students to learn music.
My Project
These items will help our dance students train and condition as individuals and in small group practice as we prepare to bring our team back to campus and physical conditioning for our artistic athletes.
We are planning to return very soon and we want our student performers to be healthy and ready to go after all of this time off.
Our color guard dance group competes on a regular basis year-round. This equipment will help them condition their bodies to prepare for their competitions post shut down.
Every piece of this equipment will help build stamina, strength, and self-confidence as we return to performing and moving on a regular basis. Our students will benefit from having great equipment to train and condition their bodies with.
