My students need to experience more time using technology! My kiddos love using MY personal tablet to read books online, play math and language arts games to enrich their skills in these areas. We need tablets.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school serves students in Pre-K through 5th grade. Students today benefit greatly when they are able to learn on the computer. Technology allows visual and auditory learners to grasp all concepts that are being taught in the classroom. Students who do not have experience with computers are at a severe disadvantage in school and daily life.
My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
While many of my students are reading below grade level, they enthusiastically show up each morning curious and ready to learn.
I feel very fortunate to be teaching such a special group of children this year.
My Project
Many of my students are functioning below grade level.
Having access to more technology in the classroom will give my students the ability to increase their reading fluency and progress to the next level in reading.
At the same time, they will be pumping up their math skills and their ability to understand the hows and the whys in the complex world of mathematics in the 21st Century.
The donations will help improve my classroom by allowing the students direct daily access to this technology. This will enable my students to become more tech savvy while increasing their academic skills across ALL areas!
