Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am an Instructional Coach at a unique Title I School. Our school is a Pre-K through 5th grade public school. The school consists of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program and the Developmental Pre-School Programs. Here we strive to create an accessible environment for social, emotional, and academic success in order to support students in reaching their highest potential. We believe in, encourage, support and teach one another to be lifelong learners.
To know your student is to know who they are socially, culturally, and linguistically, along with what inspires, interests, and motivates them as students.
I know what my student’s need to become life long successful learners. I take into account and build upon the complex and rich text and background knowledge my student’s come with by means of their family, culture, and communities. My job and honor is to make those connections, habits, and relevance to each and every student I encounter.
My Project
I will motivate and reach the most reluctant learners with interactive strategies that work! I will conduct workshops for my teacher's who want to increase engagement, boost test scores, and reduce the achievement gap. I'll build powerful learning teams in my school and use the Kagan methods for team formation, team-building, class-building, management, thinking skills, presentation skills, decision making, communication skills, and social skills.

Our school will increase academic achievement, improve ethnic relations, enhance self-esteem, create a more harmonious classroom climate, reduce discipline problems, and develop students' social skills and character virtues.
