My Students

I see my students for approximately 90 minutes a day, we have double blocks. I have half the 7th grade student body for ELA. Even though we are in a new building, my classroom only has standard seating options. When working in groups/centers we have to move desks and chairs, use hallway space, and/or send a group to the library. I see the need for alternative seating arrangements and I am seeking stools to use within the classroom. My students would be able to move these stools from place to place as they work with a partner or in a group.

My Project

These stools will help my students move about the room to regroup and work together easier. My students often work with a partner, in small groups, etc. The large desk chairs are often difficult to move around the room and take up a lot of space. These stools can travel easily with the students and will tuck away nicely under tables for storage.

Furthermore, students often have to move towards the front of the room when we work on the Smartboard.

These stools would be the perfect solution for those who can't see the board from where they are sitting. I can see these stools serving many purposes and I believe my students will be excited to use them within the classroom.
