Writing and publishing is an important part of teaching in today's world. As a teacher of self-contained regular education third grade students with special education students integrated in through inclusion, I have realized that computers and printers are huge assets. My class is fortunate enough to have five computers and a laser jet printer. My class is also a big fan of publishing their work by using the printer. We have a problem, however, the cost of printer cartridges! While our cartridge lasts for a surprisingly long time, when we run out we are unable to replace the cartridge easily because of monetary reasons. Having new cartridges available would enable my class to continue publishing their works. Who knows what budding author could benefit from this resource? We write in several subjects including but not limited to Reading and English. We also use the printer in other subjects as well. My class of nineteen would greatly benefit from receiving a new printer cartridge. I want my children (as I tend to call them)to not be hindered by my lack of personal funds or my school's lack of funds. My class needs to be able to be use technology in a positive way during their time in my classroom. Thank you for considering this proposal.
