My students need two computers to be able to type and publish their writing, colored ink to be able to print out their "All About Me" books, and scripts for readers theatre!

Most students are from low-income families and many are reading and writing below grade level.
They have been making huge gains this year in reading and writing and I hope to continue to inspire them with readers theatre performances and publishing writing.
My Project
Students are about to publish their first books and have been working hard. The computers will allow students to type and publish this project in addition to future writing projects this year. Parents have sent in photos of friends and families that students are hoping to include in the final books to share with families, typed and in color! With the ink, students will be able to print both the typed writing and pictures in color to look like a real book!
We also do theatre in class daily, with students rehearsing and performing. We make tickets, use what limited props we have and try to make the classroom as much of a theater as possible. The readers theatre scripts will be used for students to practice and perform, working on reading with fluency and expression together.
Lastly, we have very limited technology in our room. By getting our first computers, students will have access to a wide range of reading and math resources online to reach and surpass grade level!
Although small, being able to have computers in our classroom, publishing writing and performing new scripts will have a huge impact on my students' motivation and passion for learning.
