We are twenty-four brilliant scholars attending a high-poverty, Title I elementary school. We are eager to learn, and we crave the stability and routine of a healthy school environment. We are engaged in our learning and are striving to become lifelong learners.
We come from many diverse backgrounds and cultures, and each of us brings a unique and important perspective to our classroom.
We treasure our friendships in teamwork and work hard to build on many important social skills that will help us as we build relationships in the future.
Our color laser printer in our kindergarten classroom is patiently waiting for these requested HP black and color ink cartridges and paper so that we can add a splash of color to our creative writing and creations. Printing on a laser printer in vivid colors using color ink cartridges is an engaging way for students to publish their writing and see their brilliant writing and illustration "come to life."
Our five and six year old kindergarten students attend school all day, and the demands of kindergarteners continue to increase.
My students crave "vivid colors" that help to motivate them to master skills in reading, writing, math, and science that are important to school success. The ink cartridges and paper will provide a way for students to print out creations in all subject areas and curriculum.
Our school continues to face many budget cuts and shortfalls. This year we have had a laser printer waiting to print student writing and creations but have not been able to purchase the ink cartridges needed and my students have missed out on many great learning opportunities because of our ink cartridge shortfall. A working color printer with colorful ink will enhance our learning and extend many opportunities to the minds of eager kindergarteners.
