Pt. 2: Help Fund Our Financial Literacy Class

My Project

This is a part two to a previous project due to one of my generous donors giving more than what was requested. We have some funds left over and I am ordering a few items to organize the previous project.

"It takes a village to raise a child."

My leaders are about to learn the skills of budgeting, saving, building & acquiring credit cards, and even different types of investments. I need a few more items to help my classroom operate intentionally and systematically. Here is how a few of the items will aid my class:

Storage Containers

From the previous project, I was able to purchased over 130 binders for every one of my students. Now, I am looking to purchase the 70 quart storage containers to store the binders inside. To ensure my classroom maintains its aesthetic appeal, each binder will have a small poster tapped to it to easily identify which binder belongs to which cohort.

Trays

The trays will be used as a way for students to easily turn in their work, especially if they are late to class but want to ensure that I will receive their work for a grade. They are able to turn in their assignment without interrupting my class.

Headphones

The headphones prevents students using their cell phones and in many cases, helps students focus on the task at hand. I was the student who studied better while listening to certain music. I have had headphones in my classroom for years, and it seriously helps my students focus on their assignments/projects.

Others

I want to read the "Financial Literacy Boot Camp for Teens and Young" in hopes that this book further support lesson plans. The tea light candles and Febreeze are purely for refreshing and keeping my room to smell pleasant.
