My Students

My special education students are the ones that need a little extra help. In my Resource Specialist class (RSP), I use different techniques to help them comprehend, chunk their lessons from the regular education classes so they don't get overwhelmed and give them the tools to own the material taught--just like every other student wants.

When I guide my students to the right online resources they leave behind that special education label and feel just as capable as anyone else.

My Project

My students have trouble completing big assignments by themselves and really need that one-on-one help from me. Since my students get overwhelmed with all the different expectations from each teacher they need a platform that can allow collaboration for their success. The Mac Mini will allow my students to work with me on one large screen with the instructions and their assignment in the same place.

Tablets are great for individuals that can focus on a small screen, but when my students need to constantly see the instructions as they write, the switching of screens makes them lose their train of thought making the entire writing experience frustrating.

With this computer, my students can use a larger split screen and keep their focus on the writing process without ever losing sight the assignment's requirements.
