My Students

Three years ago I took over the local high school boys' lacrosse program that was all but left for dead. The previous regime left us with little in the way of equipment, a bad reputation with the school, and a year-long probation with the state lacrosse league. It was my job with the upcoming freshman class that will be seniors this year to change that fighting mentality and culture of the whole program.

Since that time we have successfully changed how we are looked at as a program, and are quickly getting more eager-to-learn players.

This quick turnaround was completely unexpected and would not have been possible without the wonderful support from donors like yourself.

My Project

The goalie can be viewed as the most important position in numerous sports. On the lacrosse field, they are the ones taking the hardest hits by balls coming at a high velocity. It is important that they are properly protected or they could have a very bad injury that could follow them for the rest of their lives. These compression shorts will properly protect my goalies in their most sensitive places. It is also important that each goalie has a stick that throws and catches with ease. Right now our sticks do not throw properly. Adding stringing materials will allow me to take the heads apart to restring them properly.
