Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are special because they all are so eager to learn. They all have their own individual needs. With low funding, it is difficult to try to reach each need. Our school is in a historical neighborhood in Atlanta. Low income households and with a shelter near by, creates a sense of urgency for resources. Our school is the heart of the community, and one of the most important places here. The students are always happy to come to school even with whatever troubles they are enduring.

My Project

Theses materials will make a difference in our students' learning by protecting their iPads from any potential problems that may arise. The Apple Care is a great policy for our students' Apple hardware. The students are very excited about learning and continuously using their iPads. Educational apps, the web, and video documentation have been very helpful towards their readiness and eagerness to learn. The headphones are important because they will help the student focus on the assignment without being disturbed or disturbing others. To create more effective whole group instructional time, I would like to be able to connect the iPad device to the Promethean board. The apps and internet access will help keep our students engaged.
