My Students

I teach a magnificent and advanced group of at-risk students (95% receive free or reduced-price lunch). My students are pre-AP, Medical Magnet and/or GT students who have not been exposed to all that technology has to offer. With most of my students interested in STEM and careers in STEM, we need more technology to keep us up with the times.

The students want to be able to compete in a global society but don't have the means.

Virtual Labs, research, STEM projects are just a few things they are interested in doing. As a school that was affected by Harvey, my students are in need of more technology in the school as their parents focus on rebuilding their school life.

My Project

My students are in a transition phase, Hurricane Harvey. We are incorporating more technology into our classroom. In order for us to be successful, there are small parts that need to be purchased to keep an organized and user friendly area.

Our ipads have been an amazing and helpful add-on to our class, but with out proper care and setup we wont be able to keep them in the best conditions.

The students use the ipads to explore labs and do extensive research for projects, these cases and stands will only make browsing and creating easier and more efficient for them.
