My Project

Our school and our 2nd grade classroom promote self-acceptance and the acceptance of others through our actions and words. I love being able to reach for a book that nurtures and exemplifies these concepts for young children. Read-alouds, think-pair-shares, and class discussions are a valuable part of our classroom and these books will be a wonderful addition.

From embracing our uniqueness (Some Zebras Have Spots) to accepting others (We Don't Eat our Classmates) I've chosen high-impact titles to use with my students.

These books books help young students understand, emulate, and value the qualities that will help them become confident, kind, and empathetic people.
