My Students

Our students come from a variety of backgrounds. They are very eager to learn and come to school each day and try their best. We have students in our classrooms who are very high, and we have students in our classrooms who are struggling. Our goal is to even the playing field as much as possible.

Although the school is helpful, it does not have the money to buy all of the materials that teachers need in their classrooms.

They want what is best for the students and do as much as they can to help everyone. But there are still other things that we need as teachers, that our school cannot provide for us.

My Project

In the intermediate grades, we often find that our students who lack a strong foundation in number sense and fact fluency, struggle to solve the more complex mathematics problems that they encounter at this level.

We want to intentionally build these skills to assist our students in becoming accurate, flexible, and efficient mathematicians.

Having this math fluency kit would give us some of the tools that we need to successfully prepare our students for their mathematical future. It will help us develop their conceptual understanding, grow their foundational skills, build their confidence, and make them feel good about themselves as scholars.
