Promoting Family Involvement From a Distance

My Students

Distance learning has been a rough road for many of the students that I service in my math classes. Math is normally a subject that requires active participation and engagement in order for concepts to be received. My students are at home with their families and learning virtually, like many during these times! I am hopefully that my project will help me fulfill my distance learning endeavors.

My Project

Since math learning in PreK relies heavily on active participation and student engagement, I want to be able to put learning games and activities in the hands of my students. While they are learning from a distance, I want to give them materials that they can utilize with their families at home. These games and resources will promote math concepts that have been taught over the course of the school year. My students will be able to demonstrate their family engagement through photos from family game nights that are encouraged through our district.
