Promoting Classroom Safety! Interactive Learning During Small Group Instruction!
My students need a coat rack to hang up their coats and prevent tripping hazards during winter months. They also need a portable whiteboard to use during small group instruction, a pencil sharpener, and a giant ten-frame set.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a group of hardworking individuals who strive to achieve. They come to school knowing it will be a place to enrich their minds and their bodies. They know that in school, they will strive for knowledge and a love of literature, mathematics, sciences and arts.
My students are hopeful and spirited toward learning.
They desire to learn and come to school for fun and enriched lessons. They love literature and enjoy reading, and they love science and the arts. They are creative and full of ideas to spark the curriculum. They follow rules and understand the purpose of safety.
My Project
My class will benefit from a coat rack because students will have a place to put their sweaters, jackets, and hats during winter months. My students are first and second graders and very often there are sweaters and jackets all over the ground. They are tripping hazards and as their teacher, I'm always concerned that one of us will get hurt due to their unintentional carelessness.
My students will benefit from a whiteboard easel because we need a place where students can show their learning to a small group.
They can lead and teach from a place where everyone in their group can see. It will promote confidence. Having a pencil sharpener that works will be a blessing. Most sharpeners last only a few months; however, this heavy duty sharpener will allow my students to independently sharpen their pencils and allow them to get right back on task. Currently, we send our pencils out to the parent center to be sharpened, but that takes a lot of learning time away. Lastly, we need giant ten-frames so all students can see the lesson materials.
