Help me give my students a projector screen that easily moved around the classroom and a different seating option for those students who need a little extra motivation!
I teach 8th-grade social studies. My students come to my class ready and eager to learn about our subject matter. They are creative, caring, and full of questions. They make my job one of the best in the world!
In my class, we do a lot of hands-on, thought-provoking, and engaging group projects.
They have created a cooperative learning environment that helps the entire class. The environment in our school is truly incredible, and the students come in with a readiness to learn each year!
My Project
This will allow me to change the seating format of my room to allow students to work in different areas. This might not seem like much but simply changing the room around give some of my students the motivation they need to do their best work. I also am asking for new saucer chairs for my room, which I believe will give some students the extra motivation they need to complete their work.
Having a portable and movable projection screen will do wonders for my day to day instructions.
This will also allow my class to read articles online and take notes together as a class. As it is now when I project it is onto the wall and the students have a difficult time reading what is projected. Also, having a portable projector would allow me to also direct small group instruction more effectively. I would be able to break the class into smaller groups and have them working on different tasks.
A major difficulty that most students have is staying organized. Keeping their papers organized in their binder is a big step towards success in my class. Unfortunately, I only have a small hole puncher that doesn't work well. With this hole puncher, it is my hope that the students are able to stay organized and have success in my class.
