Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My athletes are in a kindergarten through eighth-grade school located in an urban district. Our school serves 100% free breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served in the classroom, and students do not switch classrooms much at the younger grades. Most of my students are from Spanish-speaking households.
My students need to be active and moving while learning.
Their learning with technology should be hands on. Instead of wondering what they could do, it would be great for my students to have the materials to be "can do" people.
My Project
Students love to create projects. I would like to have students make digital stories in my class for their peers and the younger students to watch/listen to. The students will be making their digital stories during class, but we would like to showcase them also.
It is time consuming going computer to computer to see a presentation it is better on a big screen where everyone can see!
For this reason I am asking for replacement bulbs for the projector in our auditorium. I want students to be able to present their digital stories they have created in a fun way. The students will all be able to watch the same stories and talk about them after.
Some students like to print their stories out and we do not have enough toner to make this readily available. It would be great if we could get the toner to make it possible for anyone who wanted to print out their digital stories. The Ziploc bags will store the students headphones and stories if they chose to print them out. This decreases the germs this time of the year.
