My students need a classroom projector so we don't need to wait for our assigned day to use the Kindergarten grade level projector.
What is it like to wait for your assigned day in order to use the one and only grade level projector that rotates around 4 Kindergarten classes? Why can't we have our own class projector and just enjoy the projected fun learning without interruption?
I teach 23 enthusiastic Kindergarten learners in a high poverty school in Virginia where most of them get free breakfast and lunch.
They are starting to discover the art of reading through Read Aloud Stories. They are now learning the concepts of alphabets, number sense, scientific terms, and some big words in Social Studies. They greet me every morning with a smile on their faces because they know we will use the fancy box that makes the pictures and books look really cool on big screen. They know that they can watch the videos from the board and not crowd in front of my desktop computer. What will happen if I unplug the projector because the other 3 classes need it in their classroom? Can they not enjoy the quality instruction that they deserve everyday?
Having our own class projector will help maximize the meaningful teaching-learning experience among my Kindergarten students because the lessons become more interactive. This device will help provide the visuals that students need as they learn the lessons in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. It will also prevent behavior issues because they focus more on learning than being distracted and doing unnecessary things while instruction is going on. With daily use of projector when teaching, complaints from students about not being able to see the pictures, books, and other teaching materials are minimized.
Using a projector when presenting the lessons in all subjects everyday makes learning more exciting instead of having it only on Thursdays; during our assigned day.
If I get a projector for my class, the other 3 classes will have more projector time because the sole grade level projector rotates around 3 classes instead of 4. I hope that you can help me provide a projector for my class.Read More
