My students are special in so many ways. We are in a school that services military children in our town. My school is truly a melting pot of diversity, talents, and cultures. My students love to learn and relate things to the real world. I make all learning fun and interactive as well as engaging for my students.
My students go above and beyond to be the best that they can be.
I am pushing for them to understand the importance of being organized, productive, and focused in an environment that is conducive to learning.
My Project
In my classroom, we use technology everyday. From iFlip video cameras, iPods, netbooks, Promethean board and clickers, my students live out their projects and activities through multi-media ways. Right now in our classroom, we have an old projector that has very basic features, with no speakers built-in and poor picture quality. With some of the colors with our Promethean Board, sometimes it is hard to decipher from blues and purples and blacks. Pinks and reds look the same. I would love for my students to have a brand new HD projector that they can display their projects and activities on and their creativity can come to life with full colors and graphics that they design. This will also allow for them to graph their data, play their interactive games and see presentations in HD quality to enhance their learning. The students in my classroom facilitate their own learning and present and defend their answers all on their own. I just want to give them the tools to do it on their own.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom in many ways.
My students will have a great tool to use during their explanations and findings to their projects. It will enhance the classroom to one step closer to that of a STEM lab. The students will be more excited to view presentations that I show and create. Their morning warm up will be able to show color graphics and the details meant to be seen in interactive boards. I am excited to submit this project, for my kids truly deserve it!
