My 2nd grade classroom is full of hardworking students who come from a variety of backgrounds. Each student is eager to grow and learn.
My students deserve the best possible chance to be successful in life, and I feel that the education they receive in my classroom and at our school will help them achieve their goals.
Because we are not a Title I school, we are limited on the funding we receive. My students depend on the generosity of others through grants to equip them with extra tools they need to have the best chance for success.
My Project
My students work hard and want to showcase their learning. A document camera will provide students with another way to be actively engaged in their learning. It will also allow students to see exactly what we are working on and give them the ability to learn from their peers.
A wireless document camera will allow me and my students to model the amazing thinking that happens on a larger scale.
This tool will help students take ownership in their work and give them something to feel proud about when sharing with classmates.
It will also allow me, as the teacher to model writing and how to solve problems.
As we begin our next writing unit, I would love to be able to model writing fictional stories with the students, along with projecting mentor text so all students can see.
