This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third graders love using technology as we learn in our class. Here at Hogg 96% of our students come from low-income households. Our school is very small, we have close to 280 students enrolled this year. My school was one of the first school to receive Chrome notebooks. As a result our students have become masters of their learning with the use of our Chrome notebooks. At Hogg teachers are working towards closing the achievement gap to reach students performance.

My Project

Having the ability to read is very important, but having comprehensive skills is what we in third grade our shooting for.We are already working hard in small groups where we focus on how a reading passages can be broken down in order to allow deeper understanding of the whole idea. Recently a coworker allowed me to use a device called a document camera and it made me see how easily I could teach a large the deep comprehension and also allowed me and the students to see how the thinking process of everyone is different. This device made a difference and I feel in love. Please allow us to project a reading passage to the world.
