Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the District Technology Coordinator and Library/Media Specialist in 2 buildings — Middle School/High School building, as well as Elementary building. I am so fortunate to service these students all the way from Pre-K to seniors in high school. It amazes me to watch them flourish throughout their years of school. The children are curious and have a love for technology, always craving more knowledge. They challenge and support each other in many ways, sometimes without even knowing. It is refreshing to see their inquisitiveness and it is a joy to watch them thrive. They initiate learning by their curiosities and achieve successes each day.

My Project

My students feel more engaged in learning with the help of projection and interactive materials. The projectors will enhance students' opportunity to be involved in their own learning by using interactive devices such as mimeo tablets, apple tv projection, and displaying slideshows, instructional material, etc. The uses of the projectors are endless. The students and teachers become much more "involved" in the learning process rather than viewing it, which in turn encourages learning and growth. It provides students with the feeling of "being a part" of the learning process and allows teachers to enhance the lessons.
