Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students crave structure and stability. They are creative and full of questions! They love hands-on, active, and engaging projects. I work in a classroom with another certified teacher so we do a lot of small group instruction. The co-teaching method gives us the ability to reach more students in a small setting. My students are ready to tackle third grade and grow as much as possible! We are a Creative Art School and incorporate the Arts in our teaching throughout our day.

My Project

I am looking to get these privacy folders to help my students to be able to focus and concentrate on their learning. Students with learning disabilities find it difficult to concentrate when others are distracting. With these folders, my students will have the distractions eliminated so they can do their best on the assignments at hand. It also eliminates students from cheating so we know who has the skills mastered and who still needs more instruction and practice. The folders can also provide students with privacy if they are having a difficult time and need to recollect themselves without everyone seeing them.
