Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My kindergarten students are excited, eager learners who deserve all the resources they need to help them grow in their learning experience.

Most of the students in my classroom, and throughout the school, come from low income, high poverty areas.

The school is a Title I school. Both the school and parish lack the proper funding in order for me to adequately provide educational related resources for my students. Some of these children have never had the opportunity to attend Pre-K so this will be their first time in a classroom setting. For first timers this can be an overwhelming experience. For these reasons, I want to provide them with all the necessary resources needed so that they may become success lifelong learners.

My Project

A printer will make a difference in my student's learning because we are not allowed to make our own copies at our school. They do make copies for us; but sometimes we may need something copied immediately and there is no one there to work the copy machine.

Our entire Kindergarten grade level will benefit from this printer.

Also, having a printer held in my classroom gives us easier access to make copies, print, or scan since I chose to order the multi-functional printer.

Having this printer would make printing out resources, for our all of our kindergartners, faster and more efficient.
