My students need logic and problem solving games and activities. The items in my cart address an array of interests and can be used by individuals or pairs of students.
Our school is located in a rural/suburban area and serves the needs of our town's fourth and fifth grade students, including general and varied special education students. Our population is varied in demographics, including family and financial backgrounds.
We have implemented a positive behavior program in our school (PBSIS), with an overall goal of boosting social and emotional learning, eliminating negative behavior, and creating strong school to home connections.
We have devised a recognition system of positive behavior, include both tangible and intangible rewards and are looking to support our "Kid Central" location with STEM/STEAM and problem solving activities.
My Project
Our school is "on board with respect and responsibility!" We are taking part in a state wide positive behavior program, and our goals are to demonstrate respect and responsibility at school, home and our community. We are working towards a positive school environment and school to home connections. To that end, we identify and acknowledge positive behaviors.
Our students are encouraged to respect and follow our expectations by location, and our incentive program reinforces positive outcomes for positive behaviors.
We are looking to not only acknowledge positive behaviors, but redirect energy that could potentially turn into negative behavior. To do this, we would like to purchase STEM/STEAM and logically thinking activities that allow students to learn and grow through hands on activities.
