This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our 2nd grade students are curious, engaging go-getters, who have been focusing on working together as a community by finding out how we are similar and celebrating our differences. We enjoy reading books as a class and having discussions about the world, society and justice.

Our students love to take an active role in learning and being a part of the school, so many of them have school jobs.

They help to support our school in so many ways and love to be volunteers.

My Project

In our diverse world, students need access to modern technology. The ability to project images and student work, is essential to children giving each other feedback and working in teams to create their own videos, texts and images that can be shared, or used for research or debating important topics that matter to their lives.

A projector opens a window to the world, where students can now all share the same text, images and videos at the same time; this provides so many opportunities for students to engage in discussions, debate and critical conversations.

Student engagement will also increase due to accessing all kinds of social media.
