Help me give my students a clear screen to see the explanations, videos and technology (Finale, MuseScore, etc) by donating a new projector. We have one far too blurry to be used. It usually doesn't turn on.
We are a band on the verge of greatness, but we need your help! We have 238 students from two middle schools and a high school in our band program.
Four years ago, our marching band had only 46 members, but now we boast 78!
However, our instruments are all very old, and we are in a low-income area where many students have to borrow a school instrument. We are quickly running out of instruments!
Not only are the instruments old and outdated, but our technology is, too! Nearly every class in our school has a projector or "Smart Board" technology. We do not have this capability in any of our band rooms. The middle schools and high schools have never been able to purchase them for us!
Our hope is for funding to help us finish this year strong and purchase new instruments and equipment that will help us for the next 15+ years! Students cannot feel successful on an instrument or equipment that is holding them back, so we hope you will help us! Thank you!
My Project
Our school is a great school, but we have many outdated pieces of technology in our classrooms. Our band room really needs updating. We currently have a dilapidated projector in our band room. This projector was given to us as other rooms were being updated to Smart TV technologies. As of the last two weeks, in order to use this projector, we have to turn it off and on multiple times. Even then, the colors aren't true (green tint), and there is a constant notification of battery life usage/filters.

The picture will be crisp! The colors will be true! The students will finally be able to see the sheet music I project. It is currently too blurry to see! This new projector will be amazing, and portable for us to review footage before competitions! It will be used for marching band, concert band, indoor color guard, indoor drumline and for the middle schools I also teach.
We need a new projector that will accommodate a high school band room. This room usually has approximately 80 students who need a clear visual. This projector will also stream services like YouTube for us to watch educational videos. Our current projector is used each and every day. I believe our competitive marching band is a team of 80+ individuals who really need this projector!
